Digital & Visual Special Effects Video Set (Originally 2 Tapes)
Explodes Into Huge Complete
8 - 10 Volume Video Series!

If you were wondering what happened to the original release dates for Florida FX's, "Digital & Visual Special Effects" Volume i & II, video tutorial series or were worried that they might have been cancelled... fear not... Quite the opposite is actually the case! the series has gained so much interest and attention that the producers have decided to expand the series into the huge multi-volume collection that it was planned to become in 3 years, right now!.

"Just as we were wrapping up production of the first two volumes...", says Jon Gress the series creator and Host, "...we were approached by two institutions who agreed to purchase enough volumes for their college curriculum materials to allow us to expand the series into what we had originally hoped it would eventually grow into one day". "We could have released the tapes that were just ready", Jon says, "but there was so much more great material and excellent tutorials that we would have had to leave out due to the time constraints, we figured, let's just go for it! all of it! right now!"

Those who have attended Florida FX's Live seminars/workshops will be particularly excited about the expansion as many of the hands-on & step-by-step production examples covered in the live events will now be included in the series.

"We appreciate all the support and patience our members, attendees and customers have given us and know that the extraordinary amount of enhancements will be well worth the wait".

Release dates will be posted here on this site as soon as production wraps. Click here for more details about the series.

Florida FX
As most of you probably know, over the years I haven't made many recommendations to buy books on new digital filmmaking technologies... not because I haven't wanted to, or that there haven't been a couple with a few nuggets of info here and there mind you, but those of you who know me know that I don't make recommendations lightly, that I can be brutally honest, that I don't take kindly to the constant deluge of regurgitated manufacturer hype and that I refuse to endorse any book, product or service I don't fully believe in or feel with my whole heart is an utterly exceptional source of information or value. Once in a blue moon, one of these exceptional resources comes along...

Digital Moviemaking by Scott Billups is one of these values! If you can put this book down before you've completely finished reading it, then you're not really serious about making a movie.

Award-winning Director/Producer, Scott Billups cuts through all the B.S. and gets right down to the business you've been groping around in the dark trying to figure out.
ABSOLUTE "MUST BUY" RECOMMENDATION!
His wealth of knowledge and ability to see and relate the "big picture" of visual media is edgy, refreshing and right on target.

Digital Moviemaking covers an amazing amount of material in an equally amazing amount of
space - no fluff.
